how to add environment variables linux

Here I am listing few methods to add programs and shell scripts to your path

1. this is the easiest one

temporarily, you can go to the folder open in terminal or you can navigate through the terminal. then

If you open a new tab, it all just vanish means julia is not anymore in your path you can check through printenv command also. To make this thing permanent you can go and edit your bashrc file as follows:

a. open the .bashrc file in your favt. text editor
I am opening in nano editor
and export the path of the folder exactly as in picture.

now save it by pressing c^o. and exit by c^x.
thats it.:)
